July 17 Ride

Imagine Heaven on Earth…what it would look like, feel like and smell like. You probably wouldn’t imagine a trashy little smoke filled bar in the middle of nowhere, with a broken down gas pump in the middle of the gravel parking area. Well, the 100 and something miles it took to get to the Shot Gun Café, along with the juicy cheeseburgers and homemade fries when we arrived were just that…heaven. We rode up the Rexburg Bench and cut over to Teton, then rode to the Grand Tetons and cut north on highway 32 through Felt, then north to Mesa Falls on highway 47 to Island Park. Then Jeff (Rexburg MS bean-counter, throttle-freak) lead us, going mach 100 to the Shot Gun Café so we would make it before they shut off the dining area at 9pm. I played a round of pool and had one of the best burgers I’ve ever put down…and I’ve put down a few.

July 3 Ride - The Big Windmill Ride

Rob Cude came through big time with a feast fit for biker kings and queens! The beer can chickens turned out perfect for us, even though Rob had a little accident in the middle of the BBQ roast. Due to the 4th of July holiday we were a small group this week, but we had perfect weather and a new route to cruise. First we headed over to the Menan Buttes, then to Ucon and towards Bone; the country road east of IF wound up to the windmill farms near Bone. We stopped off for a bit at one of the windmills and it’s incredible how big they are. Everyone had a great time on the Big Windmill Ride
